The Worst Tribute of All Time

If you haven’t yet caught the incredible Worst Idea of All Time podcast by Tim Batt and Guy Montgomery (on the http://www.littleempirepodcast.com/ network) then you’d better drop whatever it is you’re doing and give it a listen now! It’s some of the funniest spontaneous content on the web, and true gold comedy.

Long story short, I sent them this poem, based on Sonnet 18 by William Shakespeare (you know the one – don’t pretend like you don’t)! It really only makes sense if you’ve been keeping up with the poddy, so I apologise for those of you who won’t understand a thing that I’ve written below. Enjoy!

Shall thee compare a film each seven days?

Thou art of much lunatic temperament.

Rough viewings shake thee into quite the craze,

Such sweet release when into poddy vent.

Sometime too long a movie’s running time,

And often thy attention starts to dim,

And every empty stare or mobile chime

Attempts distraction of Guy-Guy and Tim.

But thy eternal watching shall not lift,

Until the credit reel begins to show’st.

Nor shall a kiss desist being a gift,

When in the Friendzone art thou both engrossed.

So long to Lenny, Carrie, Zacole,

And ne’er ‘Bro’ me if thou don’t know me.
